Our world is wonderful and complex, each organism with its own purpose. Mushrooms are an exciting part of our outdoor world.
When your walking along and suddenly find yourself upon a mushroom... whats is your first instinct? ... come on .. admit it ......First response.. STOMP IT!!!!
I know, they are just so stomp-able, but be kind to the Fungi, Fungi is the worlds trash compactor, and they play an important part of our environment. Not only are they strange and mysterious, they are capable of cleaning up the environment, providing food and they are very aesthetically pleasing. There are countless possibilities to what we can learn about fungi.
When you take a step back and look at the big picture, Mushrooms are just a pimple on the largest living organism on the planet. 'Mycelial Mats are Estimated at 1665 football fields in size and 2200 years old '(wikipedia). When all conditions in a certain spot
are just right a mushrooms will grow.
The Kingdom Fungi does not use photosynthesis for food. Fungi lacks chlorophyll, instead they secrete enzymes into their surrounding environment.
These secretions break down the surrounding area, this in turn allows the fungi to absorb the required nutrients needed to grow. The only trait plants and fungi have is common is their immobility.
Mycoremediation is a step toward making the world a cleaner more sustainable place for us to live. Mushrooms can be used like a band-aid to help heal the damage we have caused, though the use of unnatural man made poisons

Without Fungi the world would not be the world we know. De composer's are an essential
part of our worlds survival. We have come to a point where we need to make a decision to take individual responsibility for our planet and find a sustainable way to live with the earth, not just take over the earth.
